Although spending time together is most people’s idea of a romantic Valentine’s Day, for those couples who prefer to spend the day apart (reuniting at night, of course), Boston’s Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro
has just the right package. The small, historical boutique hotel’s “Married Too Long” package allows the lady in the couple to receive a 10%-20% discount at select shops in Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, a shopping bag drop-off service from the hotel, and cocktails in front of the Bistro's fireplace. Meanwhile , the man in the couple receives a free pass to the Boston Sports Museum and a brand new universal remote upon checkout. At $399 for a one night’s stay, the package isn't the cheapest, but you can be sure the experience is not cheap either.
Of course, if you haven’t been married very long or you’re not even married yet, Boston’s Onyx Hotel’s “The Sweetest Taboo
” package may be a more appropriate option. The package includes a one night’s stay in deluxe accommodations, a complimentary bottle of champagne, cookies from Boston's Chipyard Cookies and a relaxation basket with massage oil and bath salts. The package costs $321 if you stay overnight on Saturday, Feb. 11, so it's not the cheapest on the list, but Boston isn't really a cheap city to begin with.
