Southwest Airlines (Stock Quote: LUV) is offering $39 flights as part of its 39th anniversary “birthday bash” promotion.
You have from now until 11:59 p.m. on June 24 to book travel between Sept. 8 and Nov. 17 to be eligible for one of three deals. Flights up to 450 miles are available for $39. Flights of 451-1,000 miles are available for $79 and flights of 1,001 miles and more are available for $119. Southwest is allowing anyone who has already purchased flights on those dates to check for lower fares and get a rebate. Fares are available for one-way travel.
You must book the flight on Southwest.com or business travel search engine Swabiz.com. Travel is valid every day except Fridays and Saturdays. Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3.70, airport-assessed passenger facility charges of up to $9 or the government-imposed Sept. 11 Security Fee of up to $5 each way.
Fares are non-refundable, but can be applied to future travel with Southwest airlines. Fares won’t be available on some flights that operate during busy travel times. You can check out the Web site for additional information.
