NEW YORK (MainStreet) – If you’re thinking of seeing a movie, consider going through Fandango. The movie ticket site is offering a promotion with HP that allows you to take $5 off your total ticket purchase. To get the discount, just visit the Fandango site and enter the ZIP code of the area where you want to watch the movie, and when you select and buy your tickets the discount will be taken automatically. You’ll need to book your tickets by 11:59 p.m. EDT Saturday.

Here’s a little secret: You don’t actually have to spend more than a few bucks on an HDMI cable. While some stores will charge as much as $50 for the high-definition video and audio cable, picture and sound quality are typically just as good with a much cheaper cable. Today at DailyCheckout.com you can actually get a six-foot HDMI cable for free, though you do have to spend $4.99 to ship it. The deal expires at 1 a.m. EDT.

Old Navy is offering a buy-one, get-one half off deal. All you have to do is enter the code ONBOGO at checkout and you’ll get 50% off the second item of equal or lesser value. The code expires Sunday, May 1 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, and there are a few exceptions, namely jeans, dresses and Everyday Steals. The deal also applies in-store, though it’s not clear whether it’s applied automatically in stores or if you need to give them the code.

Finally, Wal-Mart (Stock Quote: WMT) has the entire Die Hard series on Blu-Ray for just $20, marked down from $69.99. That’s Die Hard, Die Harder, Die Hard With a Vengeance and Live Free or Die Hard, on the best possible format, for just $20. It will cost you to ship it, but if you’ve got a Wal-Mart nearby you can get it shipped site-to-store for free. Yippee-ki-yay.
