Morning Deals: Ice Cream, Duffel Bags & British TV

NEW YORK (MainStreet) – Here are a few of the best deals around the Web this morning.

Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy are currently offering 35% off all orders when you enter the code BRONGAP35. A few people are reporting that they got 40% off with BRONGAP40, but we weren’t able to make that work. (Coupon codes can be tough to crack.) The code expires at 11:59 EDT on Wednesday.

Daily deal site ihavetohavethat.com offers a three-piece collapsible travel set for free, plus $4.99 shipping and handling. The set comes with a cosmetic bag, duffel bag and garment bag, all supposedly just 6 ounces combined. The idea, apparently, is that you collapse these and put them in your luggage when you go on vacation, then if you need to bring back any souvenirs or dirty clothes you can use these instead of having to buy an extra bag. It’s not clear when the deal expires.

Baskin Robbins is hosting its 31-Cent Scoop Night on Wednesday, which means you can show up at any participating location from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and get any scoop of ice cream for 31 cents; there’s a limit of three scoops per person, and tax is applied. While you’re there you’re encouraged to make a donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Saturday was the premiere of the sixth series (season) of Doctor Who on BBC, and today Amazon.com is offering a discount on the first four series of the show. Each DVD set, originally priced at $79.98, is marked down to $31.49, and they all ship for free with Amazon’s Super Saving Shipping. It’s the Gold Box deal of the day, which means that the deal will only be around for the rest of the day or while supplies last. This is apparently “BBC Week” at Amazon, so if you’re a fan of British television we’d recommend checking the Gold Box all week to see what sorts of deals are to come.
