NEW YORK (MainStreet) – NewEgg is among many retailers holding a special back-to-school sale this weekend on computers and accessories. One of the best deals is the AVG Antivirus & Antispyware 2011, which is free after a $25 mail-in-rebate and also ships for free.
Staples is trying to get you in the door this weekend with a bunch of free or dirt-cheap items. The weekly ad circular has such deals as folders for 1 cent each (provided you spend at least $5), a seven-pack of Z-Grip ballpoint pens for free with a $4 online rebate and 500 sheets of copy paper for 50 cents with a $4.49 online rebate. The deals are good through Saturday and only while supplies last, so act fast on this one.
OfficeMax has a whole mess of coupons for back-to-school items, including up to two five-packs of Sharpie highlighters for $1 each and $50 off any regular priced chair over $100. There’s also a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more, but it can’t be combined with any other coupons. All of the coupons are good through Saturday.
Office Depot’s weekly ad has a bottle of glue for 1 cent, a five-pack of sharpies for $1 and a list of items – including erasers, folders and staple removers – for 50 cents each. See the full list of deals, all of which are good through Saturday, in the weekly ad circular.
