The position: Staff software engineer at eBay (Stock Quote: EBAY)

Location: San Jose, Calif.

Job duties: Will work with eBay business partners to deliver high quality customer resolution platforms and customize them with innovative elements. Will design and develop data integration with CRM system and billing system. Must proactively identify potential data issues and design processes accordingly to minimize data quality risks. Job also involves preparing technical design documentation and then reviewing documentation with various company teams. Will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvements and infrastructure changes that will benefit the larger team, and then implement these changes and follow them through to completion. Job requires the ability to work closely with cross functional teams and serve as a key contact for platform concerns.

Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree and five years experience, or master's degree and four years experience. Must have at least five years experience working with Java and implementing a high availability, large scale system. Also requires two years experience in Web services/ SOA and OOA. Database experience is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, passionate about technology and care about customer concerns. Extensive experience in Siebel and Kenan would be a plus.
