The position: Senior manager of online strategy for Best Friends Animal Society
Location: Los Angeles or Salt Lake City
Job duties: Will play a leadership role in directing the overall growth and strategic direction of the online presence for Best Friends. Will be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive online strategy that includes internal and external promotion, content creation, design development and implementation, member stewardship and revenue generation. Will manage a team of five to 10 staff members. Serves as a consultant and trainer to the organization on Web-related and social media topics and opportunities.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree and at least seven years of relevant experience including strategy development, content acquisition and website development. Must have a proven ability to effectively and objectively communicate the mission and brand through online and social media vehicles. Requires strong knowledge of website production technologies, including popular content management platforms. Must have outstanding leadership and supervisory skills. Prefer candidates with direct experience within a nonprofit or member-based organization. Certification in website management, web analytics or related web areas is a plus. Commitment to the Best Friends philosophies and mission is essential.
