The position: Meteorologist for ABC News and Good Morning America

Location: New York City, N.Y.

Job duties: Would be responsible for creating and coordinating on-air weather graphics for overnight ABC News and Good Morning America. Will build and develop weather segment contacts, and use those contacts to acquire interesting or relevant weather footage and images. Must provide weather talent with copy, scripts and story ideas. Will need to brief writers and coordinate show elements with network news producers, along with alerting producers of breaking weather news. Will need to help coordinate weather footage, especially during severe weather conditions such as hurricanes and major winter storms. Duties would include overseeing weather equipment and maintaining the functionality of the weather-related system.

The company: The ABC television group is a part of The Walt Disney Company (Stock Quote: DIS), a huge entertainment and media giant known for its theme parks and entertainment production divisions. Disney's companies and brands also include ESPN, Hyperion Publishing and Disney on Ice.

Requirements: Position requires a college degree in meteorology. Must have an understanding of graphic applications and programs, and have the creativity to use those tools to produce cutting-edge designs to present everyday weather. Must have Photoshop skills and be comfortable working in a digital work environment. Knowledge of TV production and weather central's 3D/Live work station is essential. Also requires proficiency in iNews and skills with Word.
