The position: Energy efficiency project associate for the Clinton Foundation's Climate Initiative program
Location: Southeast Asia
Job duties: Will develop and manage building and public lighting efficiency projects in Southeast Asian cities. Must work with local City Directors and global staff to engage government, institutional and private owners to support all aspects of planning and implementing energy efficiency projects. Will help draft and review locally compatible contracts, evaluate vendor performance and assess project cost and ROI. Job also involves assessing client needs, which may involve helping to identify and overcome organizational, legal and financial challenges. Will be expected to work with regional service providers and equipment manufacturers to leverage local service capacity and ensure the availability of critical building system and public lighting technologies.

The Foundation's major projects include the Clinton Global Initiative, the Clinton Climate Initiative and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.Requirements: Requires a minimum of three years experience in technical sales, project management, consulting, finance or energy services. Graduate degree is preferred. Must have experience with energy services procurement processes in the public or private sector. Background in working with senior management and/or government officials is preferred. Requires strong diplomatic and negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency using Excel and other computer programs. Local language capability would be helpful.
