The position: Director of international content acquisition for Netflix (Stock Quote: NFLX)

Location: Beverly Hills, California

Job duties: The director of international content acquisition is a key member of the team; he or she evaluates new territories for expansion and licenses content from major studios, networks, local production companies and independent producers for digital streaming in international territories. The director leads meetings and gives presentations to all levels of the organization, negotiates deals and manages external relationships with key partners. He or she will also participate in all aspects of negotiations, including financial analysis and forecasting, contract drafting and security requirements.

The company: Netflix is a major internet subscription service for movies and television shows. Members pay a monthly fee that allows them to stream content on internet-ready devices, or receive DVDs in the mail. The company has more than 16 million subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree, with MBAs preferred. Candidates must have at least seven years of work experience, with at least two years of negotiation/sales experience. The job requires great analytical and critical thinking skills, plus a demonstrated background in market analysis, competitive analysis and strategic thinking. Prior experience with international television, studio, investment banking or media-focused technology is a plus, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
