The position: Consumer insights researcher for Belkin
Location: Los Angeles, California
Job duties: The consumer insights researcher will find impactful insights into end-user needs through qualitative research. He or she also partners with the product management and design teams to identify top areas for the company to focus its end-user research efforts and to identify the best methods to find functional and emotional insights. The researcher conducts qualitative research focusing on lab-based rapid consumer feedback on insights, product concepts or marketing/packaging, and may also oversee consumer interviews, workshops, studies and focus groups to ensure high engagement. Of course, the researcher is responsible for staying current on new research methods and implements best practices.
The company: Belkin specializes in consumer electronics for home networking, computing, gaming and entertainment. They also make accessories for mobile devices like iPods, iPhones and laptops.
Requirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree in experimental psychology, anthropology or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least three years of experience leading qualitative research projects with top brands in consumer packaged goods or electronics, preferably as an in-house researcher.
