The position: Adoption specialist for Adoption Network Law Center

Location: Lake Forest, California

Job duties: The adoption specialist serves as the initial contact for prospective birth mothers. He or she provides birth mothers with basic services and program information, informing them about both the benefits and challenges of the adoption process, gathers data about them, and determines whether to recommend acceptance into the adoption match process. The specialist also provides regular support to the adoption advisors.

Requirements: This position requires bachelor's degree, plus experience in the adoption or foster care fields or a similar position. Customer service experience is also preferred, as well as the ability to work with a diverse population. Applicants must have excellent listening and communication skills and be able to work independently without supervision, so they should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be organized and self-motivated. The position requires telecommunications skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and candidates must be able to work flexible hours. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
