Need a pick-me-up this week, but don’t have a whole lot of money in your pocket? You’re in luck: Several chains will offer free coffee this week, and a couple of them go even further.
First up is 7-Eleven, which is offering a free small cup of joe through Dec. 31. The coupon can be found here and printed as many times as you like, which means you can get a free cup of coffee every morning for the rest of the year. And while it says it’s limited to one coupon per customer per day, there’s nothing to stop you from going to another location for a second cup. If you’re really desperate for more free coffee, you could even try putting on a disguise.
Editor’s Note: The 7-Eleven coffee promotion with Citibank is indeed legitimate, but was intended for Citi customers only and was accidentally released publicly. A company spokesperson told MainStreet that 7-Eleven has e-mailed its store owners asking them to honor the coupon for one-time use by any customer. However, there’s still no guarantee that it will be honored, since franchisees reserve the right to decline participation in any promotion.Next up is Burger King. The chain wants to promote its new breakfast line, including Seattle’s Best Coffee. The promotion is more limited than 7-Eleven’s, as you can get a free 12-ounce cup only on Fridays in November, and only during breakfast hours. Still, no food purchase is necessary.
Finally, Bruegger’s has also jumped onto the free coffee bandwagon, declaring Wednesday “Free Coffee Day.” The deal is good from open until 2 p.m, and it’s limited to one cup per guest. Customers are encouraged to put their coffee money from that day toward a good cause by making a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network, which supports children’s hospitals.
