Deal Roundup: Socks, Sandals & Starcraft

NEW YORK (MainStreet) – Here are a few of the deals that caught our eye on Tuesday morning.

As its Gold Box Deal of the Day, Amazon.com is offering PC gamers Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty for $39.99, a $20 discount off the regular price. This sequel to the amazing 1999 real-time strategy game got rave reviews when it came out last year. It usually sells for around $50 at other retailers, so you’ll save about $10 here. It ships for free with Amazon’s Super Saver Shipping.

On eBay right now you can get a five-pack of men’s black socks from Jockey for just $6.99. That comes out to just $1.40 a pair, or just 70 cents per sock. The cotton socks fit sizes 7-12, they ship for free and you can get either all black or a couple choices of variety packs. This deal comes via DealNews.com.

The daily deal site DailyCheckout.com is offering a 52-piece food storage set for just $12.99, plus $4.99 for shipping. We can’t vouch for the quality of the stuff – it’s not a brand name like Tupperware – but the site says the containers are dishwasher-, microwave- and freezer-safe. Note that you’re not getting 52 containers – you’re getting 26 containers (of varying sizes) along with their lids. Still, 26 food containers for $17 seems like a solid deal if you like your leftovers.

If you prefer to eat your food in a restaurant rather than out of a plastic container, the barbecue chain Smokey Bones is offering one free entrée when you buy another entrée of equal or lesser value with this printable coupon. The coupon is good through Sunday and there are a few exclusions listed, so read carefully.

Finally, you can get 40% off your entire order at the surf- and ski-inspired clothing retailer O’Neill when you use the coupon code wells40. The retailer sells both summer and winter items like sandals, tank tops and winter jackets, and according to Savings.com, which sent over the code, the deal is ongoing.
