Why Did Spitzer's Hooker Cost $5K?

Beleaguered New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, whose resignation becomes official March 17, spent up to $80,000 for sex with prostitutes, according to published reports.

The disgraced politician, who made the announcement that he is leaving his office March 12, allegedly paid as much as $4,300 a night for sex. He was also a good tipper, a call girl who goes by "Sienna" told ABC News (DIS).

Even though MainStreet does not run through any red light districts (prostitution is illegal in all states except for parts of Nevada), we are curious: What makes sex worth a four-figure (plus) payout? For starters, we learned, people pay a premium for model-fresh looks. “These girls aren’t your regular low-grade hookers," says Bo Dietl, a Private Investigator based in New York. "Many of these are regular magazine models that you see in regular advertisements who want to make some fast money and they know because of their beauty they can ask for these prices.

"It’s this caliber of girl, it’s an untouched virgin type thing. It’s the idea that these girls don’t sleep around that’s what you are paying for, and I hate saying it but, “fresh meat.” That’s what these perverts are looking for," says Dietl. "In their minds, psychologically, they are getting a regular girl and they aren’t getting a real prostitute.”

In addition to a fresh face, deep-pocketed sex seekers also expect a customized experience. “These [rates] are for men looking for a certain type of woman," says Gloria Allred, an attorney in Los Angeles. "Perhaps more beautiful, more educated, more willing to perform certain services than others are. These are women who are more in demand, and perhaps younger, so it’s going to cost more."
