The Eatery
We tend to lose sleep over how many calories and carbs we consume, but we also overlook our eating habits, which can be much more important than specific numbers. The Eatery app on the iPhone allows users to take a picture of what they eat. The app will then reveal your eating habits. For example, perhaps you tend to eat healthier when you eat lunch at 12:30 p.m. than at 2:30 p.m. – you may never have realized this before – the app tries to shed light on your eating habits.
The app even lets you get your friends involved to ensure you stay grounded and stick to your weight-loss goals.

The app will let you know the sugar content and info about the potentially harmful preservatives in the food. Fooducate will then offer more healthy alternatives to each product. This was named the best health and wellness app of 2011 by the Apple App Store.
