Being a mother is arguably the toughest job in the world.  You want to make sure mom has an incredible Mother’s Day, right?

Your smartphone comes in handy when it comes to Mother’s Day.  From apps for ordering flowers to finding restaurants to take mom out to lunch, MainStreet put together the most helpful apps for Mother’s Day.  After all, data from the National Retail Federation shows that spending on mom’s special day will total $18.6 billion.

Flowers are a popular gift for mom on Mother’s Day. Just over 66% of consumers will buy flowers for their mother, according to the National Retail Federation.

The ProFlowers iPhone app allows users to order bouquets of flowers right on their smartphone – and have them shipped directly to mom!

BiteHunter

Sincerely Ink Cards

Tango Card

If you plan to get mom a gift card for Mother’s Day, make sure she has the Tango Card app downloaded on her smartphone (available on the iPhone and Android phones). Instead of having to carry around all of your gift cards in your wallet or throwing them into a drawer and forgetting about them, the Tango Card app lets you organize your gift cards conveniently on your smartphone.

Enter in the gift card number and you can track balances of each card. When you’re ready to use the card, the cashier will scan the bar code that appears on the screen of the phone to redeem the card’s value.
