BREAKING: Gary Coleman, Wife Get Marriage Homework
The tifting twosome were given the aforementioned "homework," and not a legal divorce, by Divorce Court's Judge Lynn Toler in an episode that was taped March 13, and which aired on May 1 and 2.
The “very special” two part session of Divorce Court (NWS) concluded with the former child star, 40, and his 22-year-old wife agreeing to try to repair their relationship and to then report back in six months.
But first Coleman and Price shared all the dirty laundry fit to air, including rants on tempers, money, having children, and even their sex life. And when Toler asked if they’d consummated their marriage, Coleman replied, “"I...well....it's a little bit complicated." (See more sound byte highlights below.)
Will the marriage recover? If there's money involved, maybe. Coleman’s agent, Robert Malcolm, at Artists Group East, tells MainStreet that the pair are working with a production company and are negotiating with a network for a future reality series. Malcolm declined to offer more specifics at this time. (Fortunately, Judge Toler offered some specifics for the combative couple: “You need to know exactly what’s wrong with you before you hook up with somebody else.”)
Stay tuned!
BONUS! Here’s what Shannon and Gary had to say on Divorce Court on May 1 and 2:
ON FRIENDSHIP
• Shannon: “Gary doesn’t want friends.”
• Gary: “I have 40 years of evidence about how people will stab you in the back, mistreat you, talk about me behind your back, steal from you. And they’re not really your friends. They’re only there because you’re a celebrity or there because they want to get something from you. So I don’t have any friends and don’t have any intention of making any.
ON CHILDREN
• Shannon: “He said ‘I never even liked kids when I was a kid.”
• Gary: [If we had children] “I fear the kid may come out with kidney disease.”
ON ANGER
• Shannon: “If he doesn’t get his way, he throws a temper tantrum…he bashes his head in the wall, too
• Gary: “I have low self-esteem. I don’t feel very successful in life.”
• Shannon: “I’m really self-conscious about myself. I react, I get offended easily. I’m sensitive. I get mad easy – well, I have red hair. Redheads have bad tempers.
