Apple is also trying to lure in the back-to-college shoppers, offering a $100 gift card for the Mac App Store, the iTunes Store, the App Store and the iBookstore when customers purchase a Mac for college. You must buy a qualifying Mac from an Apple store or participating campus store to get the deal, which lasts through Sept. 20. The only catch is that you must get a computer that qualifies for the Mac education discount.
If the Mac deal doesn’t quite fit the bill, try this one from Amazon.com. The online retailer is offering a Mophie Juice Pack Case and Rechargeable Battery for iPhone 3G and 3GS for $15.99. The case doubles the battery life of your iPhone and comes in a sleek green and black finish. The list price on this item is $99.95, so this deal comes at a steep discount of 84%.
