Great Airline Deals for the New Year
The holiday season may be over but that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning for your next vacation.
A few airlines are offering great deals right now on domestic flights for the first half of 2010, but the deals all expire within the next week so you better book them fast.
Leading the pack is JetBlue, which is offering one-way flights for as little as $29. You can fly cross country from New York to any city in California for $99 or less. Or, if you feel like getting an island vacation, you can fly from New York to Bermuda for just $109. The deals are good on flights through March 24 and must be booked by January 13.

Largely in response to JetBlue’s winter sales, AirTran announced its own set of deals. The prices here are nearly identical to JetBlue. We found a flight from New York to San Francisco for $89 and another from New York to Cancun for just $92. The main difference here is that the deal is good on flights through May 26 and you have an extra day to book it, since the deal expires on January 14. So if you sleep through the JetBlue deal, maybe you’ll still have time for this one.
And not to be left out, Virgin America is also offering some sweet sales this season, but only on a limited number of locations to and from the West Coast.
