If you want to get cash for giving up your clunker but you’re not sure you can afford to buy a new car, then we’ve got some information that might make you think twice. We spotted a few models on LotPro.com for which the $4,500 Cash For Clunkers incentive amounts to more than a third of the sticker price. Take a look:

Combined Gas Mileage: 29 mpg

Horsepower: 110 hp

For $9,970, you can get a bare-bones 2009 Hyundai Accent.  But if you can spend a little more – a total of $11,070 – and go beyond the base model and buy an Accent through the end of August, you can get a whole year’s worth of gas for $1.50 a gallon.
