Hoping to outdo its mostly-fried competitor, Boston Market will be offering a $1 meal deal this week to affirm its position as rotisserie ruler.
The offer includes a quarter white or three-piece dark rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and cornbread for $1. All the customer needs to do is bring in the coupon between now and Nov. 1. The offer is good for one person per one visit.
The Boston Market deal comes following another cheap chicken announcement earlier this week by KFC. The Yum (Stock Quote: YUM) brands company is offering one piece of free grilled chicken to each customer today only.
Does the KFC deal sound familiar? It should, because it made headlines in May after Oprah announced the promotion on her show and posted the coupon on her site. Ultimately, the Oprah effect caused headaches for KFC managers everywhere as many stores ran out of food.
