June 4 is "Phanatic About Reading Night." Every child will receive a Phanatic Galapagos Islands Adventure Book, the eighth book in a series that follows "the adventures of baseball's silliest mascot." On July 25, the Phillies will celebrate Christmas in July.
Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals aim to help those in need this year. While they hope for line drives, the Nationals will have several food, blood and book drives this season. On April 24, fans are encouraged to bring in books. On Aug. 28, donors at its blood drive will receive T-shirts, game tickets and a chance to visit with the team during batting practice. For a few games in July, the Nationals will host a toy drive for "Christmas in July."
