CPSC: Kids’ Product Recalls on the Rise

A recent CPSC safety alert also led to an increased number of recalls on baby monitors.

“Back in October, we focused on [baby] monitors after we found that monitors with cords attached posed a safety hazard,” Purvis said.

The Summer Infant recall from earlier this week was actually a late addition to the list of products affected by 2010 safety alert, warning parents not to place these and other corded cameras within three feet of the crib.
