Desired Hours Per Week: Varies; there is usually some flexibility in schedules, but much of the work needs to be done early in the morning or on weekends.

Starting Pay: $8 to $10 an hour.

Requirements: Good math skills. Inventory counts are performed at clients' businesses, so local travel is involved. In some cases, overnight travel may be involved. They often recruit associates to serve as team drivers who will transport teams to job locations using company vans. These drivers earn slightly more than the regular associate rate, and must be at least 25 years old and have a clean driving record.

The Inside Scoop: They like "early risers" who have a positive attitude and lots of energy. Many of their managers, IT staff or other employers started their careers with WIS as hourly inventory associates.
