What They Do: VIPdesk provides virtual contact center and loyalty solutions for companies in the travel, auto, financial services, and retail industries. VIPdesk specializes in concierge programs, virtual contact center services, and reward redemption services.
Types of Part-time Position(s) Available: Home-based Concierges who handle telephone calls and emails from the customers of VIPdesk’s high profile, blue-chip clients.
Desired Hours Per Week: Part-time employees work between 16 and 34 hours a week. Hours most likely would fall between 4 p.m. and midnight, weekdays and/or weekends.

Starting Pay: Generally averages $10 to $14 an hour.

Requirements: Requires a high school diploma (some college required, degree preferred); 2+ years of related customer service experience; hospitality expertise (travel agency experience is a plus); internet savvy and computer literacy; a polite, friendly and knowledgeable phone demeanor; outstanding customer satisfaction and follow through skills; self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision (as this is a home-based position), excellent written and verbal English skills (German, French, Italian or Spanish language skills are a plus); the ability to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference security check; and the ability to provide a work-at-home environment that is ergonomically sound, conducive to taking customer calls, quiet and free from distraction.
The Inside Scoop: “VIPdesk Concierges must be extremely savvy, resourceful and have a strong background in travel, either through personal or work experience; and have the ability to craft and provide customers with relevant recommendations as well as make their arrangements for them,” says a company rep.
